Plain English summary: Houdininbox is a free tool. Use it honestly, don't use it for anything illegal or harmful, and understand that temporary inboxes are exactly that — temporary. We provide the service as-is with no guarantees of uptime or delivery. By using the site you agree to these terms.
1. Acceptance of terms
By accessing or using Houdininbox.com ("the Service", "Houdininbox") you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you do not agree to these Terms, please do not use the Service.
These Terms constitute a legally binding agreement between you ("User", "you") and the operator of Houdininbox.com ("we", "us", "our"), based in Madrid, Spain.
You must be at least 16 years old to use this Service. By using Houdininbox you represent that you meet this age requirement.
2. Description of the service
Houdininbox provides a free, anonymous, temporary email address service. The Service allows users to:
- Generate a temporary email address that receives inbound emails
- View emails received at that address for up to 10 minutes
- Extend the inbox lifetime by additional 10-minute increments
- Generate a new temporary address at any time
The Service is provided free of charge and is supported by advertising revenue. No registration, account creation or payment is required to use the core Service.
Technical architecture: All email content is stored exclusively in volatile memory (RAM) and is permanently deleted when the inbox expires. No email content is written to persistent storage. We cannot recover deleted content.

- Entering competitions or downloading content without exposing your real inbox
- Protecting your privacy and identity online

5. Email content and no monitoring
Houdininbox does not monitor, read, filter or store the content of emails passing through the Service beyond what is technically necessary to display them to the user during the active inbox period.
You are solely responsible for any use you make of the Service and any content you receive or transmit through it. We are a passive conduit and do not endorse, verify or take responsibility for the content of emails delivered to temporary inboxes.
We reserve the right — but assume no obligation — to investigate and take action if we become aware of use that violates these Terms or applicable law, including cooperating with law enforcement where legally required.
Important: Do not use a Houdininbox address to receive sensitive personal information, passwords, financial data or confidential communications. The Service is designed for low-stakes, temporary use only. We provide no guarantee of security beyond the automatic deletion of content after 10 minutes.
6. Service availability and reliability
Houdininbox is provided on an "as-is" and "as-available" basis. We make no warranty, express or implied, that:
- The Service will be uninterrupted, error-free or available at any particular time
- Emails sent to a Houdininbox address will be delivered successfully or within any specific time
- The Service will be compatible with all devices, browsers or email systems
- Temporary addresses will be accepted by all third-party websites (some maintain blocklists of disposable email domains)
We reserve the right to modify, suspend or discontinue the Service (or any part of it) at any time without notice. We will not be liable to you or any third party for any modification, suspension or discontinuation of the Service.
7. Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law (including EU consumer protection law where applicable):
- We exclude all warranties, representations and conditions relating to the Service, whether express, implied or statutory
- We will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages arising from your use of the Service
- Our total aggregate liability to you for any claim arising from these Terms or the Service shall not exceed €10 (ten euros)
Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits our liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation, or any other liability that cannot be excluded under Spanish or EU law.
If you are a consumer resident in the EU, you may have additional statutory rights that these Terms cannot override. Nothing herein is intended to limit those rights.
8. Advertising

You may not reproduce, copy, distribute or create derivative works from any part of the Service without our express written permission.
The name "Houdininbox" and associated branding are proprietary. The name "Houdini" refers to the historical public figure Harry Houdini (Erik Weisz, 1874–1926), whose name and likeness are in the public domain.
10. Termination of access
We reserve the right to block, restrict or terminate access to the Service for any user or IP address that we reasonably believe is violating these Terms, without prior notice and without liability.
Because the Service requires no account creation, there is no formal account to terminate. Blocking operates at the network level.
